About the job:
Kent is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity and Data Protection Lead to oversee cybersecurity technologies and data security initiatives. The role demands a professional with hands-on expertise in securing critical infrastructures, implementing robust cybersecurity measures and driving compliance with data protection regulations. Experience in the energy sector’s will be a significant advantage.

Skills and Responsibilities:Proficient in security incident detection, response, and recovery processes.Strong expertise in cybersecurity technologies (EDR, WAF, Web & Mail gateways, SASE, CASB etc.), including vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and offensive security.Hands-on knowledge of data protection and encryption technologies, cloud and network security, and their architectures.Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and the Zero Trust security frameworks.Knowledge of coding and web application technologies and their security, hands-on expertise in scripting and automation.Familiarity with AI technologies and related risks and understanding of energy sector-specific cybersecurity requirements and risks.Experience in data management and visualization, Excel and Power BI and knowledge of dashboard managementExcellent problem-solving and team engagement skills, with the ability to baseline and drive technology cybersecurity initiatives. Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity technology infrastructure to safeguard critical assets and sensitive data.Review and recommend technology architecture designs for cloud and network implementations and for applications.Develop and enforce data protection policies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including GDPR, NIST CSF, ISO27001, and energy-sector security frameworks.Lead security incident investigations, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and audits to identify and mitigate risks proactively.Conduct detailed assessments on systems, implemented controls, and documented processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into technology operations.Build and maintain visibility dashboards for the cybersecurity operations and security controls.Provide guidance and support in deploying and managing tools such as SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection, and DLP solutions.Stay updated on emerging threats, evolving technologies, and industry best practices to enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture. In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Communication:Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills. Behavior/ Core Competencies:Ability to analyse complex cybersecurity issues and devise effective solutions.Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-risk environments while maintaining focus and delivering results.Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior in handling sensitive and confidential data.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.8+ Years of domain expertise handling and managing Cybersecurity technologiesCertification: CISSPOffensive security knowledge/certifications will be an added advantageExpertise and certification on managing EDR solutions and incident managementExpertise on Azure and M365 securityCertifications in managing Data classification and DLP technologies HSSEQ:
