**Your role and responsibilities**
IBM is seeking a CISSP (or equivalent) certified Senior Cybersecurity Architect. As a Senior Cybersecurity Architect, you will support the client with federal cybersecurity and privacy regulations and guidelines compliance. You'll need to understand, implement, and document the system security requirements to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of federal agency travel information and meet regulatory requirements.
The Senior Cybersecurity Architect provides recommendations for improving the client security posture based on research and analysis of their security architecture and design. This objective includes analyzing and evaluating the various system component architectures, documenting the required security controls, implementing the System Security and Privacy Plan (SSPP), offering recommendations for client cybersecurity controls improvement, and delivering reports and presentations on client security posture to leadership. In performance of this objective, the Cybersecurity Architect will perform and execute projects and tasks assigned by project leadership.
Daily responsibilities include:
* Providing detailed architecture and design solutions
* Ensuring solution design architecture addresses system security requirements
* Guidelines and regulations
**This will be an onsite role in our Reston, VA office
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering & or cybersecurity architecture
* Deep technology/domain expertise & solution management
* At least 10 years of experience in implementing the NIST RMF & the FedRAMP authorization processes throughout lifecycles of complex technical solutions
* Ability to apply security principles, counter-threat intelligence & knowledge of security intelligence &operations to define & develop associated security strategy, programs, plans, & recommendations
* Knowledge of security & compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions operating within the Government
* Ability to support development or operational team requirements to integrate those security controls, & provide for effective security continuous monitoring on a Federal project
* Possesses deep expertise with various Cyber threats & mitigation plans & is well versed in tools like QRadar, Splunk & other cyber security tools
* Certification Requirement(s): CISSP, CISM, CISA, or Security* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
