The **Senior Cybersecurity Architect** is responsible for ensuring all product/functional areas in the security engineering area are executed successfully, as well as facilitating inter- and intra-task and subtask coordination. **Responsibilities** + Provide cybersecurity engineering services to include designing the customer’s IT enterprise and systems against existing and emerging cyber threats; developing and upgrading the security capabilities of legacy systems; and coordinating security-related activities with information security architects, senior agency information security officers, system owners, common security control providers, and information system security officers + Facilitate the integration of security and privacy requirements in the Secure System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to address security and privacy considerations in a cost-effective manner + Assist with planning, designing, and integrating security and privacy requirements into the system development life cycle for new systems and existing systems that need to undergo significant enhancements + Provide security consulting, architecture, application security services, tools management, and engineering support for systems, emerging IT, and IT security initiatives, and ensure that IT security is embedded and threaded throughout the IT architecture for all projects + Create, update, revise, and maintain Cyber Security Architecture, Engineering, and Security Tools documentation for the Cyber Security & Privacy Division using industry best practices + Provide documentation support, architectural design, security engineering, application security, and cybersecurity tools management + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED equivalent + ISC(2) CISSP certification + CISSP-ISSAP preferred. + 10+ years of experience designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems within an organization's IT network. Should have experience with Wireless Networks, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, LAN/WAN, SEIM, and Cloud integration strategies. + 5+ years of experience managing a team of Security Engineers. + Background check. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Excellent teaching, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Experience in applying risk management techniques to develop and complete risk assessments based on NIST standards to ensure system design and implementation sufficiently addresses or mitigates IA risk. + Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel, including senior management to explain and enforce security measures to protect agency assets. **How you’ll grow** At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
