The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for helping protect Danaher’s assets and data through cybersecurity, deploying new security tools and improve already existing tools. This role is part of a high performing team delivering essential cybersecurity services to our operating companies.
This position is part of Danaher Information Security and will be remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, utilizing cutting-edge tools and technologies to ensure a secure, scalable, and resilient environment for the organization and its OpCos.
+ Proactively identify and address security vulnerabilities and process gaps, working with cross-functional teams to enhance visibility, and deploy innovative security features that continuously strengthen the organization’s defense mechanisms.
+ Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
+ Collaborate with IT and operational teams to integrate security considerations at every stage of the project, from design to testing, ensuring secure practices and reducing vulnerabilities in production systems.
+ Drive the continuous improvement of security operations by overseeing and refining standard work documentation, including processes for incident response, vulnerability management, and audit preparedness. This will ensure alignment with evolving security requirements and industry trends.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ A minimum of 10 years of experience in information technology (cybersecurity), with at least 7 years dedicated to system administration and security engineering, demonstrating a strong expertise in securing complex IT environments.
+ An advanced understanding of Microsoft security and securing Microsoft solutions is required, including expertise in Active Directory and Entra ID, Microsoft’s RAMP Architecture, and practical experience in areas such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO). Proficiency in managing secure access through Conditional Access Policies is also essential, along with experience using Identity Protection for risk-based conditional access. Furthermore, the role requires familiarity with Azure AD Privileged Identity Management (PIM) for role management and access control, as well as experience with Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), and Mobile Application Management (MAM), and/or Microsoft Security Center.
+ A foundational understanding of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions is crucial, encompassing architecture and system management. This includes a solid grasp of core EDR principles and threat detection techniques, alongside operational expertise in managing and optimizing EDR systems for proactive threat monitoring and response.
+ Python and PowerShell scripting proficiency to automate security tasks, including integration with Windows endpoints, the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, and other security tools, streamlining operations and incident response workflows.
+ Experience building custom integrations between security tools and platforms, ensuring a cohesive, automated security infrastructure that supports threat detection, response, and remediation.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in and have or hold:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in technology or cybersecurity.
+ An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune is essential, including core Intune principles and its role in modern endpoint management. Operational expertise with Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM), and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) is also required, ensuring effective protection across all managed devices.
+ An advanced knowledge of CrowdStrike technologies is required, specifically including CrowdStrike Flight Control and CrowdStrike Query Language (FQL) for effective endpoint threat hunting and analysis. Expertise in utilizing the PSFalcon PowerShell module to interact with the CrowdStrike Falcon API is also essential for streamlined integration and automation of security operations.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $145,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
