Description As a Senior Cytotechnologist - Per Diem, you will play a vital role in evaluating and interpreting cytological samples. Your primary duties include: * Performing microscopic evaluations and recording findings for GYN material and occasionally non-GYN material, providing preliminary interpretations for FNA, non-GYN, and abnormal GYN cases. * Rendering final interpretations for GYN cases determined to be negative. * Providing coverage for Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) and biopsy adequacy assessments. * Offering cross-coverage support to Santa Monica Hospital as needed. May convert to career. Salary Range: $79.56 - $79.56/hour Qualifications * Current, valid California Cytotechnologist license. * ASCP Cytotechnologist certification - CT (ASCP) or SCT (ASCP). * ThinPrep certification. * BD-SurePath Morphology certification. * Bachelor's degree. * 5 years of licensed cytotechnologist experience. * Experience with Fine Needle Aspiration and biopsy adequacies. * Successfully passed CLIA mandated GYN (PAP) Proficiency Test for 2025. * Working knowledge of the essentials of normal and abnormal cytologic principles for GYN and NON-GYN (including FNA) specimens.
