Job DescriptionWe are in search of an experienced Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer with 15+ years of experience in water resources engineering-related disciplines (such as hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical engineering, or structural engineering). This role is integral to our expanding business. Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership, engineering expertise, and overall project management for water resources projects, involving tasks such as inspection, investigation, evaluation, design, and construction of both existing and new dams, reservoirs, levees, and hydraulic structures.Ensure project excellence through diligent project management, maintaining high quality and adherence to industry standards.Conduct senior-level review of construction documents, including calculations, plans, and specifications.Contribute actively to business development by participating in proposal creation and engaging with clients.Foster robust client relationships and identify potential business prospects within the water resources space.Develop and review design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.Collaborate effectively with multiple offices to equitably distribute workloads and optimize resource utilization.Represent our firm at industry events, conferences, and seminars, fortifying our reputation and expanding our network.We have one current opening. Candidate could sit out of any Olsson location.

Strong communication and leadership skills.Ability to contribute and work well on a team.Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in one or more states.15+ years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical, and/or structural engineering.Demonstrated proficiency in evaluating construction drawings and technical specifications.Familiarity and knowledge of pertinent state and federal dam safety design methodologies, policies, and regulations.Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-level performance.Proven track record in both project management and client engagement.Experience in business development and proposals.Additional InformationOlsson is a nationally recognized, employee-owned firm specializing in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental, and technology.
