PRIMARY FUNCTION
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights that support business decisions. Develop and maintain data catalogs and data dictionaries to ensure data governance and accessibility across the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collect, organize, and analyze data from various digital and print sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Create and maintain data catalogs to standardize and document data sources, attributes, and lineage.
Develop and manage data dictionaries to ensure consistent definitions and proper usage of data elements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
Design and build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
Ensure data quality by performing data cleaning, validation, and standardization.
Contribute to the improvement of data governance practices and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic planning and operational efficiencies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or equivalent.
Experience with data cataloging tools (e.g., Purview, Alation, Collibra) and maintaining data dictionaries.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
Experience with Data Fabric and Data Mesh.
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear, concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data analysis, including creating and maintaining data catalogs and data dictionaries.
Demonstrated experience in working with large data sets and advanced analytics techniques.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms is a plus.
