What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support the Department of State. The candidate will lead the analytic and data visualizations in support of organizational and mission goals. The candidate’s responsibilities include planning projects, leveraging large volumes of data across sources in a variety of forms, and building analytics models and data visualization tools. You should have a strong problem-solving ability, a knack for statistical analysis, and the ability to align data products with project and client objectives. Communication is an essential factor in a work environment, and it is vital that you convey information effectively, design data visualizations and present technical solutions to non-technical audience.
Specific responsibilities included
Formulating, suggesting, and managing data-driven projects and metrics.
Producing and disseminating non-technical written memos that detail methodologies, models’ analyses, and limitations of approaches.
Developing intuitive, attractive, and interactive data visualizations using large data sets to create PowerBI dashboards for a diverse set of users with varying technical capabilities
Collecting, transforming, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources
Crafting automation techniques for data collection, transformation, cleaning, and validation
Developing and maintaining data governance documentation, tools, and templates
Requesting, documenting, reporting, and analyzing implementing partner data, and, where applicable, creating tools and resources to support implementing partner data and reporting
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree
FOUR (4) years of relevant data management experience, including, at least THREE (3) years of experience developing data visualizations
What Would Be Nice To Have:
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
Advanced degree in information science, data science, sociology, political science, or something similar
Project management experience in data-centered projects
Consulting or similar client-facing role
Power BI dashboards
Excellent organizational and written communication skills; capability to clearly and succinctly define problems and outline solutions
Experience applying various statistical techniques
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Experience working with the Department of State
The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
