We work hybrid at Plenty of Fish - IRL in our downtown Vancouver office on Tuesday and Wednesday and work remotely the remainder of the week!
We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to uncover engagement trends, optimize user experience, and shape product strategy at POF. If you thrive on solving complex problems, analyzing large datasets, and translating insights into compelling stories, we want to hear from you!
Your primary focus will be user engagement, but you’ll also collaborate with teams across monetization, marketing, and trust & safety, working alongside data analysts in those areas.
You’ll lead experimentation efforts, designing and analyzing A/B tests to enhance user retention and product performance. Partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, and Data Engineers, you’ll translate data into actionable strategies and present insights to executives to drive high-impact decisions.
As part of Match Group, you’ll also connect with data professionals across other leading dating brands, gaining exposure to industry best practices and expanding your expertise.

Design, execute, and analyze experiments to improve user engagement and retentionWork with large-scale datasets to uncover user behaviour trends and optimize key featuresTranslate complex data into clear, actionable insights for product teams and executivesPartner with Product, Engineering, UX, and Marketing to drive data-informed decision-makingWork alongside other data analysts supporting monetization, marketing, and trust & safetyPresent findings to leadership, shaping company-wide initiatives and priorities.You'll be a match for this role if you have..4+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in tech, SaaS, or consumer-facing platformsExperience with raw clickstream data (telemetry event data) and handling datasets of 100M+ recordsStrong expertise in A/B testing, experimentation methodologies, and statistical analysisProficiency in SQL and experience with Python for data analysisExperience working with large-scale datasets in a fast-moving, data-rich environmentStrong business intuition - the ability to connect the dots between data and strategyExcellent communication skills - comfortable presenting insights to leadership$116,000 - $130,000 a yearFactors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
