Senior Data Analytics Auditor
Description The Sr. Data Analytics Auditor is a highly analytical expert responsible for supporting Internal Audit by leveraging extensive data through ad-hoc and project-based analyses. This role focuses on developing and maintaining analytics tools to assist in audit projects across various functional areas such as Store Operations, Finance, Merchandising, and Supply Chain. The position contributes to mitigating risk, enhancing control structures, and improving operational efficiency by providing insights to Internal Audit. Additionally, the auditor works with leadership to implement a centralized process for supporting audit projects, including data mining, statistical analysis, dashboarding, and reporting. Collaboration with different teams is essential to understand their requirements and deliver tailored data solutions. This individual is also responsible for training Internal Audit members on the business intelligence and analytics tools used within the department. Key Responsibilities + Provide services such as data mining, statistical analysis, dashboarding, and reporting to the Internal Audit team + Help audit project teams by providing analytical insights gleaned through research and data analysis + Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytical tools for audit project teams and the business + Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of data tables available for analysis and guide and educate staff members + Extend and enhance data with third-party data sources + Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis + Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear and creative manner + Create automated fraud and risk detection tools to continuously audit and monitor activity + Maintain and enhance the audit department’s internal KPI reporting + Integrate data analytics into Enterprise Risk Management, annual risk assessment, and project planning + Deliver training to department associates on the standard BI and analytics tools used in the department Requirements Education And/or Experience + Bachelor’s degree in Data Analysis, Finance, Accounting, or other related business field. Master’s degree preferred + Minimum of 5 - 7 years of Audit experience + Minimum of 1 - 2 years data analysis experience + Experience and proficiency in analyzing structured and unstructured data + Strong data mining skills and familiarity with the BI tools and technology such as R, Python, Big Query, and Looker. PeopleSoft or SAP experience a plus. + Familiarity with data visualization tools to develop dashboards and reporting + Able to identify and address data imperfections such as missing values, inconsistent string and/or data formatting + Able to know the context of the business situation at hand with regards to data and able to predict questions and challenges to assumptions and conclusions + Able to describe findings or the way techniques work to audiences, both technical and non-technical Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
