We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team within the Enterprise Systems and Experience (ESE) organization. This new team will support the data needs of the Customer Success Organization, working within a robust ecosystem that includes DBT, Fivetran, Airflow, Snowflake, Python, and AWS.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced data engineer skilled in handling data warehousing challenges. You should be eager to learn new technologies and bring a fresh perspective to the team. Responsibilities
Shape the team’s vision, articulating strategies for impactful data solutions at scale.
Apply a product-focused mindset to understand business requirements and architect scalable, extensible systems.
Diagnose and solve complex issues in distributed systems, develop/document solutions, and sequence work for fast, iterative delivery.
Build and maintain high-performance, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed systems.
Provide leadership within your area, driving a data-driven approach, robust designs, and effective delegation.
Participate in or lead design reviews to evaluate and select the most suitable technologies.
Review code for best practices, including accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
Automate cloud infrastructure, services, and observability, and establish CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
Establish best engineering practices through design/code reviews and process improvements.
Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of trust, respect, and inclusion.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience with ETL/ELT tools and data curation.
Proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong data warehousing concepts and SQL skills, including dimensional modeling and relational databases.
AWS experience.
Familiarity with Snowflake or similar tools for data ingestion.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Committed to enhancing knowledge to improve existing applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DBT, Fivetran, and Airflow.
Knowledge of Spark, Hadoop 2.0, and its ecosystem.
Experience with automation tools/frameworks like Git and Jenkins.
