Our client, a leading financial firm, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer/Architect to join their team. As a Senior Data Engineer/Architect, you will be part of the Data Engineering department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Senior Data Engineer/Architect
**Location:** Jersey City, NJ or Chicago, IL
**Pay Range:** $73 per hour on W2
**What's the Job?**
+ Lead data engineering efforts to deliver enterprise-wide capabilities and complex data solutions.
+ Direct code design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation, and control of data in operational and analytical data systems.
+ Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
+ Define and build data pipelines to enable data-informed decision making.
+ Mentor Data Engineers in the delivery and release of continuous integration and continuous delivery events.
**What's Needed?**
+ 5+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture.
+ Proficiency in Hadoop and Informatica Powercenter.
+ Deep understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
+ Experience in building complex business database systems.
+ Strong knowledge of data management standards and best practices.
