Senior Data Expert - Commercial Lines

Role involves working closely with regional actuaries, MI and IT teams as well as a number of segment leaders and line managers across Europe as underwriting data manager to maintain data integrity, provide reporting and analysis on the portfolio.

The Senior Data Expert will be a key member of the team owning the company automation tools for the main underwriting processes and responsible for its usage and linkage them with main corporative systems.


Responsibilities:

Managing Chubb Rule Engine tool and its templates files, including rules for automatic triage of migration in line with  UWC strategy and for automatic triage of renewals next steps. To work with IT PMO to raise, monitor and prioritize key system changes to drive data quality in the portfolio via our different applications (Workview, Genius, Portal, Ignite, etc). Manage the triage and control of portfolio migration for online platforms and different underwriting teams (creation of workitems, monitoring of failures, dashboard). To work with BI team to prioritize and support changes to enhance data available to manage underwriting effort and portfolio (capacity management). To manage other data focused underwriting processes (IIR commission review, Peer Review, etc).  Create and maintain training materials, deliver training sessions for different stakeholders (UWs, Sales, etc) around renewals triage, portfolio data and reporting. Design, build and report (as required) timely, precise, accurate and comprehensive MI in relation to key underwriting processes (renewals, new business, migration, etc.). Assist where required with ongoing projects that are identified throughout the year for improvement to the Underwriting efficiency  To work within the framework of Chubb ethical and general guidelines. Maintaining continuous education opportunities to improve own technical skills and maintain professional credentials.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Insurance or Actuary University Degree or equivalentMaster usage of excel macros, Python, R, Qliksense, Qlikview, SQL, Power BI.Professional language skills in English.Additional European languages would be taking into consideration.  Strong customer service skills and customer centric attitude.Experience on commercial insurance sector.Strong attention to detail and the desire to deliver and improve quality.Problem resolution and decision-making skills.Ability to work in a team environment as well as on own initiative.More than 7 years of experience as actuary, data scientist, data manager, business analyst, finance analyst or equivalent.Professional usage of software for data analysis and reporting.Designing and building of MI solutions to support decision making processes.
