Senior Data Platform Engineer (BI)

Responsibilities:

Maintain and administer our BI platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Design and implement scalable and efficient BI infrastructure and architecture. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand platform requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Lead the implementation and integration of BI tools across the organization. Proactively monitor and optimize the performance of the BI platform.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of the BI platform. Assist in the development and implementation of governance and compliance policies within the BI platform. Mentor and coach junior platform Engineers. Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the BI space, and actively drive the adoption of new technologies and tools when applicable. Provide expert advice and guidance on BI platform-related projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of BI platform services. Stay current with new data technologies and programming models. Be self-motivated and creative. Be able to function in a Global team structure and influence your priorities with shared infrastructure teams. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Senior Data Platform Engineering or administration roles. Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with Power BI, Qlik and other relevant BI platforms. Strong understanding of BI Architecture principles, including data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling. Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing scalable and secure BI infrastructure. Excellent leadership, influencing, and collaboration skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Experience working in a large corporate environment with compliance regulations and global teams. Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work under minimal supervision Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
