Broadridge is hiring!  Join our dynamic team as a Senior Data Protection-Storage Engineer.   You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our storage infrastructure! You'll prepare comprehensive project plans and drive prioritization efforts, all while deploying your expertise in capacity planning and performance analytics. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage cutting-edge storage solutions, ensuring seamless transitions from legacy systems to innovative new technologies. As a key contributor, you'll participate in project team meetings, provide insights on data protection and storage architectures, and ensure that your projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and will work both on-site and remote.

Responsibilities:

Prepare project plans, provide estimates for project tasks, and assist with prioritization in relation to capacity planning and performance analytics.Work on establishing the Storage strategy and way forward.Design, deploy, and administer storage infrastructures.Analyze and specify technology opportunities and make system recommendationsEnsure project documents are completed, current, appropriately stored and handed over to the Operations team within the relevant timescales.Participate in project team meetings to represent the Data Protection & Storage SMEs and provide input on project design and architecturesMake sure there is a smooth changeover from the old technology system to the new oneProvide guidance on Automation and Orchestration orchestrate wherever it is possible.Work closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).Make sure that each stage of a deliverable is progressing on time and to the relevant quality/standards.Determine requirements, develop specifications, architect a solution, and implement it in a timely manner.Agree clear project scopes, objectives, deliverables, priorities, and timescales.Keep abreast of all Storage technologies and corresponding complementing technologies.Continually assist in updating roadmaps and future state documents.Ensure project status reports to stakeholders are submitted by ensuring regular and accurate blogging and updates of projects and activities.Ensure project deliverables are clearly defined, planned, prioritized & kept on track and within scope.Act as a technical touch point for members of the team, offering guidance, coaching, mentoring and support.

Qualifications:

10+ years working in a large Storage Environment Supports recovery efforts in the event of systems failure or disaster.Must possess a solid understanding of software and/or hardware systems used in assigned area.The ability to cooperate in a team environment is criticalAn ability to think ‘outside of the box’ with a long-term view, when recommending solutions.Organizational skills are required to ensure compliance with corporate standards.Candidates must have the ability to motivate and lead others in a positive manner and ensure the group’s work gets done in a timely fashion.Strong research initiative, a self-starter at locating relevant documentation, support and process assistanceInterpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact and communicate with a variety of individuals at all levels is required.Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Enterprise production hosting experience with the following platforms:Experienced in managing and operation backup environment running backup management software tools such IBM TSM Spectrum/Storage Protect, TSM Storage Defender Suite, Dell EMC Data protection Suite, and Cohesity.Experienced in and clear understanding of daily backups, monthly, long-term backup retentions, and Immutability options.Experienced in automation of data protection and data recovery process.Backup Replication technologies.Should have experience and very good understanding of backup and recovery/restore methodologies.Clear understanding of data recovery time or point objectives.Should be able to generate and automate the reports for error handling and executive overview.Experience and understanding of Dell EMC fiber channel storages and NAS storage systems deployment, configuration, administration, maintenance, and troubleshootingNetApp FAS deployment, configuration, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Should be able to analyze the application/DB requirement to map it with storage performance Tiers.Experience in Cloud Based backup and Storage Technologies are desired.
