Our Financial Institution Services Division is looking for a Senior Data Reporting Analyst to join their team! This position will be located in our Cincinnati, OH office and will operate on a hybrid schedule.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Analyzes, evaluates, and interprets large volumes of data from diverse sources to support business objectives. Ensures data integrity and accuracy by performing comprehensive data audits and validation checks.Designs, develops, and delivers advanced reports, dashboards, and complex visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.Conducts in-depth analysis of data trends and patterns to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic decisions.Collaborates with various departments to understand and address their complex data reporting requirements, delivering customized solutions.Presents findings and strategic recommendations to management and other stakeholders in a clear, impactful manner.Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting efficiency.Maintains updated knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and reporting, integrating new methodologies as appropriate.Develops and maintains documentation for data processes, workflows, reporting standards, and data dictionaries.Performs other duties as assigned.Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: Generally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, reporting or a related field. Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred. Continuing progress toward and/or completion of a certification in area of expertise preferred; appropriate certifications could include; an Associate Insurance Data Manager (AIDM), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Certificate in General Insurance (INS). While not required, actuarial experience would be beneficial.
Scope of Job/Qualifications: Performs work under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Proficiency in analyzing moderately complex data sets and identify patterns, trends, and insights. Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools (Python, Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and strong familiarity with scripting languages. Develops and maintains knowledge of data sources content and structure to assess the quality of data. Demonstrates understanding of industry products/coverages and applies that knowledge to support business activity. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
