Position: Senior Data Scientist

Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030

Duties: Execute on data strategy by understanding the business value and relevance of data and enabled customer insights and strategies to routine business problems. Understand, perform, and evaluate analytical models and techniques to support and deliver analytical solutions to business problems. Engage in code development and testing. Write code to develop the required solution and application features through programming language. Leverage business, technical, and data requirements. Present to and influence the team and business audience using the appropriate data visualization framework and convey clear messages through business and stakeholder understanding.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field.

Skills required: Experience with complex data processing and manipulating using SQL programming language. Experience with data analysis and visualization using R and Python programming languages. Experience analyzing customer behavior using statistical models, causal inference, and supervised/unsupervised learning methods. Experience creating compelling visualizations and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders and leadership. Experience designing and developing processes and frameworks for analytical projects. Experience creating predictive models and customer KPIs/metrics to uncover insights on the customer journey. Experience developing measurement and automation reporting/dashboard for customer cohort metrics. Experience designing A/B tests to identify drivers of customer behavior and using statistical methods to analyze results. Experience working with large amounts of data in a cloud environment. Experience delivering data-driven insights and recommendations to support customer centric decision-making processes. Experience collaborating with data and technical engineers to scope and define data needs for projects. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
