What You'll Bring:
2+ years of practical experience working as a data scientist applying machine learning to real-world problemsGreat communication skills to articulate technical aspect of model development to internal and external customersExposure to credit portfolio management, loss forecasting and risk managementExcellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, i.e., Classification, Regression, Clustering, Feature Engineering, Decision Trees, Gradient Boosting etc.Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Python, Anaconda, TensorFlow, SQL, Scikit-learn, KerasProven applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, regulationLogical, evidence-based problem solving and critical thinking skillsWe'd Love to See:
Graduate-level degree preferred with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, economics, operations research, computer science or aligned disciplineWorking familiarity with cloud computing environmentsExposure to NLP algorithmsImpact You'll Make:
Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to create high-performing models that comply with regulatory and privacy requirements and address business objectives and client needs.Ability to research and develop new approaches, keeping up to date. Tests new statistical analysis methods, software and data sources for continual improvement of quantitative solutions.Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.Do ad-hoc analysis and presenting results clearly.Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers.Create clear and easy to understand documents for models.Present analysis ideas, progress reports and results to internal and external customers.Collaborate with Lead Data Scientist to develop technical/business approaches and new or enhanced technical tools. Participates in collaborations for implementation.This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Benefits:

Pay Scale Information :The U.S. base salary range for this position is $78,750.00 - $131,250 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
