##### **About the Team** We're looking for a data scientist to join our Core Services Data Science team to provide data expertise as we work to make this world a safer place to move around. This is a cross-functional role within a global team that will work closely with product management, safety operations, engineering, and partner data teams. The work has a global scope, with different cultural and regional aspects considered for each of the studies. We know the work of safety never stops, yet we can and will challenge ourselves to always be better for the communities we serve." ##### **What You’ll Do** - Statistical Experimentation: Plan, Design and Analyze A/B tests and other experimentation methodologies to measure the impact of product features and initiatives, ensuring data quality, accurate measurements and statistical rigor. - Data Analysis & Insights: Conduct exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, and build solutions to uncover actionable insights that will inform business strategies and product improvements. - Collaborationc with Stakeholders: Partner with key stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities to leverage data to drive business solutions, and present complex findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels, translating technical analyses into strategic recommendations. - Product Analytics: Work closely with product teams to define metrics, monitor key performance indicators, and provide data-driven recommendations that improve operational efficiency and process governance. - Data Quality: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and maintain data pipelines and dashboards that enable scalable analysis and reporting across the organization. ##### **What You’ll Need** - Experience: Senior experience as a Data Scientist / Advanced Data Analytics, with a strong foundation in A/B testing and statistical experimentation; - Avanced proficiency in SQL is essential; - Familiarity with Python, and big data tools like Spark is desirable; - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; - Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders; - Ability and experience in extracting insights from data, and summarizing findings/takeaways; - Experience with Dashboarding and Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker or similar - Advanced English skills. ##### **Why Uber?** Join us to help shape the future of safety at Uber.
