**Job Description:**
Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Senior Data Scientist - Digital & Commercial Innovation , located in Raritan, NJ.
The Senior Data Scientist is a pivotal member of the US Surgery Digital & Commercial Innovation group, striving to build an end-to-end commercial ecosystem that drives best-in-class customer experiences informed by data and insights. This position is responsible for analyzing commercial outcomes and providing actionable insights throughout the customer journey lifecycle, including customer segmentation, pricing and contracting analytics, and commercial engagement effectiveness. The individual will also develop digital products, delivering scalable analytical solutions that ensure a competitive advantage for Johnson & Johnson in the healthcare space. As part of a multifaceted and growing team, this role requires creativity, a broad knowledge of data mining algorithms, and the adoption of leading technologies in analytics to get results and identify new opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Understanding business opportunities within individual MedTech Surgery platforms and developing analytical solutions to capture these opportunities and enable profitable growth.
+ Partnering with business and technology teams to integrate information and deploy solutions successfully.
+ Analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of commercial channels, identifying key drivers and insights to advance the organization’s Omnichannel strategies.
+ Crafting and implementing customer-level insights through advanced data models and segmentation strategies.
+ Remaining at the forefront of analytical capabilities and building internal organizational capabilities.
+ Researching standard processes and collaborating with external organizations and partners.
+ Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
+ Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
**Qualifications**
+ Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, such as statistics, operations research, computer science, or mathematics.
+ Master’s degree with 6-8 years of meaningful experience, or PhD with 2-3 years of proven work experience in data analysis.
**Required:**
+ Strong demonstrated understanding of machine learning methods and applied statistical packages as applied to data analysis within open-source scripting languages (e.g. Python, R).
+ Strong proficiency in using source control platforms (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub).
+ Proven track record of understanding and analyzing large, disparate datasets and transform them into clear business insights.
+ Demonstrated familiarity with large datasets and understanding of data analysis workflows.
+ Experience delivering data science projects from inception to completion, collaborating across teams.
**Preferred:**
+ Healthcare industry experience.
+ Prior experience in one or more of relevant commercial areas (marketing, sales, market research, pricing, contracting, market mix, commercial effectiveness).
+ Strong understanding of customer analytics, customer journey mapping, and engagement strategies, focusing on B2C insights.
+ Experience working with real world data (EHR, Medical Claims, Health Survey, Registry)
+ Experience working with large healthcare datasets (e.g., Clarivate, AcquityMD, etc..) is preferred.
+ Familiarity with MLOps and workflow software (e.g., Treasure Data, Databricks, Alteryx, etc.).
+ Understanding of the data lifecycle from identification to operationalization on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
+ Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
+ Demonstrated capability in building analytical solutions that scale.
**Other:**
+ Strong communication and influence skills to effectively convey complex analytical models into practical recommendations..
+ Ability to navigate and synthesize substantial data sets to inform decision-making.
+ Adept at redefining sophisticated analytical processes into actionable business strategies.
+ Strong dedication to continuous improvement methodologies, promoting data-driven decision-making and innovation.
+ Strong business sense to understand functional domains within Sales & Marketing and understand how decisions impact the different parts of our commercial organization.

**The anticipated base pay range for this position is :**
$105,000 - $169,050
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
