Senior Data Solutions Engineer

Required to work from company office in Chicago, IL certain days per week. Telecommuting allowed for balance of week. **Job Type:** Full Time **Rate of Pay:** $132,600.00 to $139,230.00 per year Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to, the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. **Duties:** Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Integrate data from various sources including databases, APIs, third-party services to provide unified view of data. Manage and optimize database including schema design and performance tuning to ensure data availability and reliability. Design and maintain data models, ensure that they match business requirements and ensure data consistency and integrity. Implement data quality checks and validation processes to identify and rectify data anomalies or errors. Create and maintain ETL processes using tools like Apache Spark, Python or custom scripts to transform and move data between the systems. Write scripts and develop automated solution for routine data tasks such as data ingestion, data cleansing, data validation and report generation. Continuously monitoring data pipeline and infrastructure, identify and resolve issues, and proactively optimize for performance and reliability. Work closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists and other stakeholders to understand their data need and provide support for their analytics and reporting efforts. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, processes and solutions, making it easier for team members to understand and troubleshoot data related issues. **Requirements:** Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Experience must include one year in each of the following: 1. PostgreSQL 2. Microsoft Excel 3. Spark 4. Hadoop 5. Bitbucket 6. Jira 7. Python Programming Language 8. Sublime Text Editor 9.
