Senior Data Vendor Manager
The Senior Data Vendor Manager at Clearwater Analytics plays a pivotal role in overseeing the entire lifecycle of vendor management activities, including vendor audits, contract renewals, licensing upgrades, and maintenance. They are responsible for ensuring Clearwater maintains healthy and successful relationships with our vendors.
By managing vendor relationships, they will develop and implement rigorous tests to audit contractual compliance. With a comprehensive understanding of the vendor management process, the ideal candidate will proactively engage in strategic initiatives to enhance Clearwater's position regarding reference data, driving overall excellence and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Manages and tracks vendor invoices
Provides vendor usage reporting as dictated by contractual requirements
Performs cost and spend analysis to identify cost effective solutions for existing and future contracts
Works closely with the information technology user groups and contracted service providers to assess internal needs and vendor performance
Supports development of schedule of contract renewals with built-in triggers to prevent unexpected termination/expiration of agreements.
Ensures invoices are paid accurately and on time
Ensures compliance with known data risks
Strong understanding of Clearwater’s data flow and how clients leverage vendor data and how vendor data manifests itself within our platform.
Employee is expected to meet in person with top three vendors by expense and top three vendors by risk at least once per year
Assist with Coupa contract management system
Assist in contract negotiations
Requirements:
7+ years of experience working with Clearwater databases and/or dataset
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, math or science related field
Sound knowledge of Clearwater financial data vendors and their associated data offerings
Able to work autonomously and answer most requests and inquiries
Proven analytical skills, the ability to apply and interpret results, arrive at logical conclusions, and recommend solutions, inclusive of documentation and reporting
Has a documented career roadmap and can self-evaluate performance and make necessary adjustments in accordance with career aspirations
Self-motivated, results driven problem solver
Strong influencing skills through verbal communication and high impact, data-driven presentations
