Salary: $5,705.43 - $8,166.66 per month commensurate with experience. Job Description Summary: The Senior Data Visualization Analyst, under general direction, is responsible for creating reports, visualizations, dashboards, and metrics that provide business insight and aid business decision-making. Responsibilities: - Leads stakeholders in developing objectives, KP ls in order to design relevant reports and dashboards.- Designs effective and engaging data visualizations that communicate insights to various stakeholders.- Serves as a subject matter expert for data in Financial, HCM, Payroll, Academic, or other TAMUS subject area.- Plans the structure and flow of visualizations to effectively tell a story or convey a message, ensuring that visualizations are appealing and easily understood.- Develops interactive dashboards that allow users to explore data and gain insights.- Tests visualizations with users and stakeholders for usability and effectiveness and iterates based on feedback.- Documents design decisions, data sources, and methodologies used in creating visualizations.- Ensures the accuracy and reliability of data visualizations by validating against source data and business requirements.- Provides training and tier II support to end-users on using data visualization tools and interpreting visualizations.- Stays proficient in the utilization of data visualization tools and with data visualization best practices. Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Four years of related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of BusinessObjects, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power Bl, or similar reporting tools. - Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organization skills. - Ability to manage tasks effectively. - Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others Preferred Qualifications: - Subject matter expertise for data in financial, HCM, Payroll, Academic, or other TAMUS subject area. - Knowledge of SQL or similar query language. - Knowledge of TAMUS EDW Data. - Experience analyzing financial, payroll and/or HCM datasets Data visualization or graphic design expertise.
