We are recruiting to hire an experienced technologist as a Senior NoSQL Database Reliability Engineer for our Availability and Platform Support initiatives within the Aerospike Administration and Operations team. We are seeking a results-oriented technologist with a passion and proven track record for DB support, automation and delivery at scale. This role is for an individual contributor focused on leading, inspiring and collaborating with a team of highly motivated and talented technicians in meeting our business-driven technology objectives.

 

What you'll do:

Will be responsible for administration and maintenance of Aerospike NoSQL databasePerform database upgrades, OS patching, performance tuning and support activitiesCreate scripts to automate database maintenance and administration tasksUnderstand upcoming database features and provide guidance to the application teamsBenchmarking new features and their impact to the application availability and performanceParticipate in database capacity planning activities for new application featuresReview application database design and provide critical feedbackIdentify opportunities to build innovative tools and solve unique operations problems on a large enterprise and mission critical applicationsDocument and maintain standard operating procedures w.r.t the databaseAerospike in the cloud setup in Kubernetes cluster What you have

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience with administration and support of Enterprise NoSQL databases like Aerospike, MongoDB7+ years of experience in writing automation scripts, building application dashboards for proactive monitoring, setting up Alerts for early determination of the issuesIn depth knowledge of database concepts, replication strategies and high availability architecturesExperience with database backup and recovery, patching, upgrades, performance tuning activitiesFamiliarity with Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and tuningDevelopment experience in one or more or programming languages such as .Net, Java, Powershell, Python, and BashWorking knowledge of logging aggregation tools such as Splunk, promethus, grafana or similar toolsPrevious experience in GitHub and harnessPrevious experience in using SALT or Ansible for automation of operational database tasks

Preferred Qualifications:
