Highmark Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, has a work-at-home Senior Decision Support Analyst position (with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems; the remote worksite must be within commuting distance of Pittsburgh, PA for weekly trips to the corporate office) responsible for providing analysis in the development and support of projects and data analysis. Specific duties include: (i) determining how decision support systems will provide information required to make effective business decisions; (ii) translating requirements into applications that employ appropriate decision support and reporting tools; and (iii) performing modeling of data sources and flows as well as working with data management staff to define an operational framework that will define, develop and implement policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure delivery of knowledge and information.
Must have a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in a related position. Alternate requirement: bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.
With a Master’s degree, must have three (3) years of experience with each of the following: (i) data analysis; (ii) programming using SAS and SQL; and (iii) at least one of the following Relational Database Management Systems: Teradata, Oracle, DB2, or MS SQL Server.
With a bachelor’s degree, must have five (5) years of experience with each of the following: (i) data analysis; (ii) programming using SAS and SQL; and (iii) at least one of the following Relational Database Management Systems: Teradata, Oracle, DB2, or MS SQL Server.
Must have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) Unix Shell scripting; and (ii) Tableau reporting.
Experience can be concurrent.
