The Opportunity
ISMG is seeking a Senior Delegate Acquisition Manager to join our Global Events Division in support of our rapidly expanding custom events portfolio. In this role, you will lead attendee recruitment and community management for our custom events, focused on understanding the target audiences of our clients and engaging in a variety of strategies to identify, attract, and secure qualified guests that meet the unique requirements of each event to meet goals and achieve customer satisfaction. 

As the Custom Event focused Delegate Acquisition Manager, you’ll engage with a broad range of industry contacts, from individual contributing practitioners to C-suite executives, to support the attendance and registration goals for a dynamic variety of events ranging in size, scope, and purpose. While our events span across the globe, the current majority of our custom events are US based, so the ability to operate in each coastal time zone, as necessary, is imperative.

What you'll be doingResearching target markets and persona profiles to identify specific audience groups and expand our current database.Satisfying attendance and registration goals for a portfolio of global custom events, across various industries, converting prospects into event participants.Identifying qualified attendees by leveraging our Marketo contact database and defined smart lists as well as conducting independent research via LinkedIn/other relevant channels and networking with industry professionals for referrals.Utilizing a variety of engagement strategies and tactics to connect with attendance prospects via phone call, Social Media/LinkedIn, and/or email to generate interest, deliver the event value proposition, and secure registrations. Creating and managing email invitations, utilizing A/B testing, and analyzing email performance to improve response rates and increase conversions.Tracking attendance confirmations and limiting attrition through consistent communication with registrants throughout the event life cycle.Maintaining and nurturing a past attendee and prospect database utilizing ISMG’s CRM tools.Engaging in post-event conversations to collect feedback from attendees and gauge interest in attending future events.Analyzing event results and performance to identify key metrics for improvement.Monitoring industry trends and staying up-to-date on new marketing technologies and techniques.What you’ll bring for successA Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Events, or related fields.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Event Recruitment, Delegate Acqusition or Sales, Audience/Attendance Development, or similar role. Experience supporting B2B events with cybersecurity and/or technology industry exposure being a plus. Exceptional recruitment skills including the ability to effectively research markets, identify and qualify prospects, develop and implement outreach/messaging strategies, and produce high percentage conversation rates to attain goals. Knowledge of the Cybersecurity and Information Technology landscape to effectively navigate conversations with prospects and provide valuable insights. Ability to concisely convey event value propositions and alter messaging based on a prospect’s individual interests.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience engaging with industry professionals and senior executives.Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to work independently in a fast-paced media environment.Details: Location: on-site at our Princeton, NJ HQ or Manhattan, NYC office. Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 base salary + bonus/commissions tied to performance goalsExact salary dependent on experience level and location.Apply now!
