Senior Demand Planner

The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for the development of monthly demand and supply plans for products. This responsibility includes managing all activities related to consensus forecast review, statistical trend data analysis, and monitoring of consumption in support of fulfilling customer demand.  In addition, this position will be accountable for FG supply planning and works closely with manufacturing and sourcing.

What you'll do as a Senior Demand Planner: Leads cross functional SOP process to develop shipment forecast and facility level monthly build plan in order to ensure STERIS can achieve its revenue forecast. Manages finished goods inventory levels and associated parameters (e.g. safety stock), negotiate MOQ & lead times with sites as required. Optimize inventory across the network for Finished good held in multiple DCs / Operating locations. Create ISOs to support.  Participates in new product implementation with phase-in/phase-out planning that provides a smooth transition and minimizes obsolete material. Review Aged or Slow moving materials for disposition, primarily through Sales opportunities. Create and Publish KPIs including Site Metrics, lead time, on time, inventories. Key contributor to owning and driving process improvements within the S&OP process, collaborate with sales and Market to drive joint accountability of forecast accuracy. Maintain and develop standard work as needed, train team members and serve as a point of escalation when required. The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed: Bachelor's Degree Plus 5 years of supply chain experience - specifically in planning / demand forecasting.  OR High School Diploma Plus 13 years of supply chain experience - specifically in planning / demand forecasting.  Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, required. 

 

Experience in a lean manufacturing environment, preferred.  MBA or advanced degree, preferred.  Certification in related field (APICS), preferred.  What STERIS Offers:
