Senior Demand Planning Analyst
Senior Demand Planning Analyst The Senior Demand Planning Analyst will be responsible for leading the demand forecasting process within an organization, utilizing advanced data analysis and statistical methods to accurately predict future sales, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather insights, and optimizing inventory levels by managing demand fluctuations, ultimately aiming to achieve optimal customer service while minimizing costs through effective supply chain planning; key duties include developing statistical forecasting models, identifying demand drivers, participating in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy and overall demand planning efficiency. Key Responsibilities + Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models, historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and new product launches to inform inventory planning. + S&OP Participation: Lead the demand planning component of the Sales & Operations Planning process, collaborating with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align supply with demand. + Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify demand patterns, trends, and key drivers to improve forecast accuracy and decision-making. + Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory levels and proactively adjust forecasts to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing excess inventory and stockouts. + Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the demand planning process, including system improvements, data quality enhancements, and forecasting methodology optimization. + Stakeholder Management: Communicate demand plans and insights to key stakeholders across the organization, including sales teams, product management, and senior leadership. + New Product Launches: Collaborate with product development teams to accurately forecast demand for new product introductions. + Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and customer service to measure the effectiveness of demand planning activities. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical modeling techniques + Experience with demand planning software and ERP systems + Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams + Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights + Deep understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management practices + Experience in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes + Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, or a related field + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
