Senior Demand Planning Manager - Merrell

To help drive this journey, we are looking for a Sr. Manager of Demand Planning who will proactively lead the short-to-long range demand forecasting and planning to support brand revenue and margin plans for the Merrell and Chaco brands. This individual’s success will be based on their strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as an aptitude for understanding the complexities of the global market and business models. Their goal is to develop best-in-class processes and tools to drive improved planning accuracy and propel profitable brand growth for the future.Buildstrong partnerships as an influential strategic business leader across the Merrell and Chaco brands including driving global alignment and direction on our business planning with financial partners, regional leads, product, marketing and sales teams.Leada best-in-class process to obtain forecast inputs carefully mixing statistical tools, market intelligence from cross-functional planning teams, sales, consumer research and customers sales data. Ownthe monthly forecasting process aimed at delivering high-quality and consistently improving demand visibility and ability to identify variances to ensure the right product, at the right place, at the right time.Work with inventory planning and sales to ensure on time fulfilment of sales orders.Working with sales / finance and inventory planning to set up , track and influence liquidation of old inventory to meet targeted inventory levels and overall health of inventory goals.Partner with product , sales , and supply chain teams to ensure that customer expectations for on time are met , through reviewing critical handoffs and timelines across various calendars including the Product Development Calendar and the seasonal heartbeat / IBP calendar.Be a strong IBP partner – leading the demand planning process within the brand and supporting the global processes.Direct the Demand Step of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process as process owner and deliver monthly consensus forecasts within the business unit.Develop demand planning analysis, leveraging statistical data analysis methods/tools that will balance customer, region, and brand needs and risk in accordance with demand planning best practices. Highlight significant out of stock situations and resolve with key partners.Set measurable goals, monitor forecast error and develop action plans to improve color/style, sub-class, category, and sales channel forecast globally each season.Work closely with brand and sourcing leaders to better understand historical product performance and product-market opportunities (e.g., trend analysis) to inform their strategies.  Engage and build upon key relationships with sales, operations, supply planning and finance to assure accurate and timely forecast inputs and a more optimized order fulfillment model.Play a leading role in the annual planning / budget process by providing finance and supply planning with timely and accurate baseline projections and incorporating new business plans.Drive best practices in data analysis that will lead to better decision making as we grow in complexity. Build a roadmap for process and tool development to generate systematic reporting and execution.Build and develop a high-performance team that consistently meet or exceed expectations by developing and assuring compliance with standard operating procedures, ensuring appropriate training and feedback, and increasing the commercial aptitude of the team to seek and utilize better forecasting science.Deliver recommendations to executives in a dynamic business that requires robust analysis and documentation, clear and crisp communication of key insights and action, and drive changes on short intervals.Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, demand planning, inventory management, commercial analysis/analytics, preferably in Fashion, CPG, FMCG in multi-channel business.Growth mindset while embracing an ongoing spirit of curiosity and learning in an organization that is ever evolving.Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent, driving continuous process improvements and introducing best practices across the organization in support of better outcomes.Strong leadership abilities with a focus on developing high-performing teams.Excellent written and verbal communication to drive projects and build buy-in and support through data.Expert level Microsoft Excel skills and proficient at creating new reporting tools to stay ahead of our competition and accounts’ analytical expectations.Strong mathematical & analytical skills with ability to interpret and distill complex data and provide analysis, projections, and conclusions in a meaningful simple format.A strong collaborator able to work well in cross-functional organization at all levels within multiple parts of the organization.Technical certifications relevant to data analysis/BI.

Working Conditions

Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.

Need to be comfortable working across time zones due to global nature of the role (e.g., meetings in late evenings and / or early mornings)
