Role description:
This role will be integral to our Global Excellence Centre (GEC)—Arcadis's centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our GEC comprises over 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Romania, India, and the Philippines. In collaboration with global businesses, our GEC provides Capability, Capacity, and a Competitive Advantage across various unique projects and services.
The MEPF Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) in the GECs comprises cross-functional teams that contribute to developing innovative MEPF solutions that optimize energy efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort. Our ability to effectively manage projects, assess client needs, and provide technical guidance is crucial in delivering successful outcomes using the most innovative computational design methods.
Role accountabilities:
Engineering design of general lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution (up to 1kV), fire signaling, burglary, and CCTV systems. Design, calculation, and modeling in 3D tools, including process & instrumentation diagrams, electrical panel diagrams, and execution details. Plan, organize, and execute projects effectively, managing budgets and overseeing junior engineers or technicians. Estimate the necessary budget, resource list, and schedule for the electrical scope of the project. Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders (clients, architects, project managers) to ensure smooth project execution.Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Low Voltage) or Building Services. Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design for buildings (power, lighting, grounding, lightning protection). Strong knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and calculation software. Very good knowledge of norms and standards related to LV Electrical Design. Medium proficiency in English. Strong problem-solving, creativity, and analytical skills. Leadership skills with previous experience managing large-scale projects. Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills. Eager to learn new capabilities and skills, with a focus on technical and quality improvement. Eagerness to mentor junior engineers.Why Arcadis?
