Job Summary:
As a Senior Design Engineer within Caterpillar Industrial Power Systems Division’s aftertreatment team, you will be part of a cross-functional, high performing team and develop products that make our world cleaner by meeting new and existing emissions regulations. You will work with industry leading experts to direct and contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex emissions control components and systems. You will have the opportunity to work with a global team to deliver innovative emissions solution while strengthening your analytical skills and mastery of engineering concepts. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, mentor and coach team members, and broaden your professional network.
What You Will Do:
• Complete design integration of aftertreatment systems
• Develop aftertreatment module and component designs
• Organize and lead design activities to achieve time, cost, and quality targets
• Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, team members, and process partners
• Investigate and resolve design issues impacting product quality
• Perform product maintenance

• Creates and introduces new techniques that expedite or simplify the development process.
• Supervises the management of multiple and diverse types of products or services.
• Develops the appropriate solutions to complex product design and development problems.
• Top candidates will possess Aftertreatment or engine system design / development experience
• Desired product development skills include proficiency with Creo and Teamcenter (or equivalent CAD tools), APQP, BIQ, FMEA, Continuous Product Improvement process, New Product Introduction\ process, FEA and CFD analytical validation, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
