As a Senior Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of curtainwall at Enclos. You'll combine your expertise in structural analysis with your passion for design and preconstruction, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams from concept to project award. Your insights and technical leadership will drive the successful development of complex, high-performance building systems, ensuring they meet client expectations. As a well-established, privately held façade contractor, Enclos specializes in the design, engineering, fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom and iconic façade systems. We offer complete design-build services and work on innovative and challenging projects in partnership with some of the world's most respected architecture, engineering, and construction firms. Minimum Requirements and Responsibilities: + Bachelor of science from an ABET accredited program in Civil or Structural Engineering. + Civil or Structural P.E. or S.E. licensure with ability to obtain licenses in additional jurisdictions. + 8+ years of experience in the unitized curtainwall industry. + Expertise in engineering as it relates to the curtainwall industry, including load analysis, connection design, movement accommodation, and contract document review (drawings, specifications, reports). + Ability to solve complex problems independently through simplified structural engineering analysis. + Understanding of Enclos' business goals and design principles, covering structural, air/water barriers, thermal performance, acoustics, fabrication, assembly, and construction methods. + Proficiency in software tools for industry-specific tasks, including: + CAD programs (AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Rhino) + Structural analysis tools (Space GASS, RFEM) + Finite element analysis (Strand7, SJ Mepla) + Engineering math software (Excel, Mathcad) + Strong geometry and spatial reasoning skills. + Effective communication skills, able to explain technical topics clearly and professionally to people at all levels. Can create formal and informal reports, presentations, RFIs, emails, and other correspondence with internal teams and external partners. + Able to accurately interpret verbal and nonverbal feedback in meetings and adjust communication style based on group dynamics and objectives. + Research new materials, techniques, and tools. + Represent Enclos at external events, including client meetings, vendor assessments, and industry conferences (some travel required). + Collaborate with external clients, architects, contractors, and vendors to solve complex problems while respecting the objectives of the project team.
