Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Design Engineer you have a key role in developing test automation for faster and more efficient testing. You will be part of the Drive testing team, and you will ensure defect-free releases by testing and checking that new frequency converter products fulfill standards and quality requirements. Also, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement automated test scripts, analyze test results, and identify areas for improvement. Your expertise will be crucial in driving continuous improvement in our testing processes, ensuring that our products are reliable and of the highest quality.This role is located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki.You will be mainly accountable for:• Developing hardware test automation, acting as the primary user of the system, and providing support to the hardware testing team.• Building test setups, executing tests and reporting results.• Collaborating closely with various design teams and approval engineers.• Creating automated test cases for the most time-consuming R&D and product approval tests.• Maintain and support software automated test setups.• Standardize and develop test methods, tools and systems.

Qualifications for the role

B.Sc or M.Sc. degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.A few years working experience from electrical testing.Hands on experience of electrical installations.Self-motivated with a proactive and determined attitude.Good communication skills, fluent written and spoken English skills. Proficiency in Finnish is considered an advantage.Knowledge of programming languages (Robot Framework, Python).Ability to perform tests with an incomplete test specification.
