Overview:
This remote opportunity allows you to reside in your current location and travel to established and new clients nationwide, primarily within the United States, with a focus on the Southeast region. In this position, you can quickly advance to Associate Project Manager and transition into management in the near future. This role is with an employee-centric and fast-growing engineering firm that offers significant bonus potential, contingent upon both company profitability and individual performance. You'll have the opportunity to further develop your skillset by becoming an expert and leader within this demanding industry niche, and to grow within the company. Travel is expected to range from 5-25%, equating to approximately 2-3 business day trips, 1-2 times per month. You'll report to an assigned Project Manager.
Focus of the Role:
This position focuses on developing fire protection engineering solutions and initiatives that support various clients and industries (commercial, residential, industrial, & more), primarily within the design and construction phases of projects. You'll evaluate clients' needs acting as a point of contact, develop solutions using computer fire modeling, research and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations (NFPA), review equipment sizing/P&IDs and selection, perform hazard analyses and risk assessments, and complete technical reporting. Additionally, you'll use your expertise to oversee the work of junior team members and collaborate with other department teams and senior personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relatable Engineering field with 5+ years of relevant fire protection engineering experience - ideally in the design/construction space. Professional Engineering (PE) License or potential to obtain one in near future with knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD design and BIM 360 software is preferred.
