Senior Design Technologist, Prime Video

This is where you come in. As a Senior Design Technologist, you'll be a key part of our UX design organization. Your role will be all about proving, advancing, and evolving cutting-edge UX concepts through prototyping and hands-on product work. You'll work alongside other design technologists to bring design ideas (interactions, visuals, motion) to life. Key job responsibilities - Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey and advance the vision of future products - Collaborate with design leadership and key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle - Work alongside designers, researchers, PMs, and engineers to drive concepts from idea to implementation - Advance design thinking by leveraging your platform expertise (e.g. web, mobile, TV) Additional Preferred Qualification's: - Working within cloud technologies such as AWS Lambda, CloudFront, S3, EC2, Bedrock About the team As a Senior Design Technologist, you’ll have the opportunity wear many hats. Our team built solutions for Prime Video such as a React.js TV prototype using a Bluetooth remote control, a mobile app prototype built in React Native, Figma plugins in JavaScript, Gen AI prototypes using AWS Bedrock, and interactive fan experiences on the web for TV shows like The Boys and The Rings of Power. Our team is open to experimenting with new technologies and evaluating them to see if they are the right tool for the job. We elevate designers’ visions and support our engineering partners to help them ship faster. Basic Qualifications - 4+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience - Have an available online portfolio - Have coding samples in front end programming languages - Experience developing visually polished, engaging, and highly fluid UX prototypes - Experience collaborating with UX, Product, and technical partners Preferred Qualifications - Understanding of WCAG AA standards and accessibility fluency - Expertise in working creatively around constraints and navigating ambiguous projects - Experience leading the development of complex prototypes - Experience with a broad range of technologies, including mobile devices, gaming consoles, smart TVs, hardware prototyping, and IoT - Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing, and operational excellence - Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods, including familiarity with common frameworks, understanding of core ML concepts, and the ability to prototype and integrate ML-powered features into interactive applications - Excellent communication skills, including collecting requirements, describing features, and designing technical solutions Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,900/year in our highest geographic market.
