Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Utility Designer to join our fast-growing Utilities team in West Toronto. This is a leadership opportunity to contribute to large-scale transportation projects while leveraging your expertise in utility design and coordination.
In this role, you will lead the preparation of detailed design drawings for wet utilities (storm, sanitary, and watermain), and guide multi-disciplinary projects, including civil, highways, and transit/rail infrastructure in the GTA. You will also mentor junior staff, manage complex designs, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Role Accountabilities:
You will lead utility designs for MTO/Metrolinx and municipal projects, including:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s degree not required, but also considered an asset. 8+ years of experience on large, complex transit/transportation projects with increasing levels of responsibility. P.Eng. designation (or eligibility for designation). Direct experience with GTA public and private utility companies is an asset. Proficiency with CAD tools (MicroStation, Inroads/Open Roads, or AutoCAD Civil 3D). Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead multi-disciplinary teams. Experience with trenchless methods for installing small and large diameter watermains and sewers is an asset. Construction field experience and familiarity with municipal and road authority standards are assets.Continue your career journey as an Arcadian.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
