Senior Developer, Business Intelligence
Description Position Title: Senior Technical Business Analyst Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 4 days in-office per week) Employment Type: Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion) About the Role We are expanding our team to support sustainability and renewable energy initiatives. As part of our growth strategy, we are implementing cutting-edge digital technologies, including an Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform. We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst with Energy and ETRM experience to drive the success of these initiatives. This role requires strong collaboration with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Development Teams, Data Teams, and Third-Party Consultants to define and implement business solutions. Key Responsibilities + Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to translate complex business needs into functional and technical requirements. + Collaborate with Product Owners to analyze, document, and prioritize feature development and enhancements for digital platforms. + Conduct discovery, gap analysis, and process mapping to define current-state workflows and future-state improvements. + Maintain and manage project documentation, including business process flows, functional specifications, and user stories in Jira and Confluence. + Assist in project planning, resource coordination, and ensuring business-user acceptance. + Work closely with UX, design, and technology teams to develop innovative and scalable solutions. + Support the Product Owner in defining and managing the product roadmap and aligning it with business objectives. Requirements Required Skills & Experience ✅ 8+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst in relevant industries. ✅ Energy industry experience is required – familiarity with energy trading, risk management, or sustainability initiatives. ✅ Hands-on experience with ETRM platforms (e.g., OpenLink, Allegro, Endur, or similar). ✅ Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira and Confluence. ✅ Strong experience in business process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. ✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with multiple stakeholders. Work Environment + Hybrid role based in Houston, TX – must be available to work on-site 4 days a week. + Opportunity for contract-to-hire conversion based on performance.
