Senior Developer/Data Engineer

Role: Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Remote Senior Web Developer/Data Engineer to support the U.S. Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS). In this role, you will design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software applications focused on data science, visualization, and analysis using tools like JavaScript, Typescript, React/NextJS, and Python. The position involves collaboration with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and end-users to analyze business processes and identify enhancement opportunities. Responsibilities: Build custom JavaScript applications with front-end development tools to host graph-based visualizations and project information. Develop graph visualizations using the D3.js JavaScript library. Support clear and concise JIRA tickets for task management. Participate in daily scrums and communicate effectively with team members. Map out and document processes using Confluence and other virtual tools. Provide technical consultation, training, and support to IT staff as designated by the government. Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics) or equivalent professional training and work experience. Two (2) years of experience with JavaScript, React/NextJS, Typescript, HTML, and CSS for web development. Two (2) years of experience with programming languages such as Apache Spark, Python, and JSON Schema. Two (2) years of experience producing and consuming REST APIs. Proficiency in developing visualizations, models, charts, and diagrams. Experience using popular JavaScript frameworks such as D3.js, Node.js, and jQuery. Ability to write complex SQL queries and scripts. Familiarity with Agile development practices, including Scrum and Kanban, and management tools like Jira and Confluence. Experience with GIT and branching strategies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Skills: Two (2) years of experience with Java Spring Boot. Basic understanding of machine learning. Knowledge of working with Databricks. Experience with engineering/DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins).
