The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for the development of critical applications, while working with a team of developers. This role will design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing applications. Additionally, this role will build these applications with a focus on delivering cloud-based solutions. The individual will use groundbreaking technologies and enterprise grade integration software daily and will be relied upon to help take the team to the next level from a technological standpoint.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages and participates in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design using Agile methodologiesServe as technical expert on development projectsWrite technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirementsSupport, maintain, and document software functionalityIdentify and evaluate new technologies for implementationAnalyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as neededManages and participates in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirementsCollaborate & lead tech teams consisting of employees & vendor company contractors in planning and execution, serving as a technology leaderCollaborate with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor's degree required4+ years of experience in design, development, documenting, testing, and debugging of new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use in an Agile environment4+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot4+ years of experience implementing AWS technologies (ECS, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, CDK/CloudFormation, Lambda)Experience with AWS Cloud deployment and GitHub Actions workflowsExperience with analytic tools such as ELK Stack or KibanaExperience with containerized development (Docker)Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit or MockitoHands-on and proficient excellence in backend development of REST and Pub/Sub Messaging applicationsExcellent knowledge of Object-Oriented systems design and Application DevelopmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detailWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Airlines industry experience is a plusAWS highly preferred
