Senior Development Coordinator

Position Summary:

UTHealth Houston’s Development office is looking for an individual to fill our opening for a Senior Development Coordinator. This employee will be responsible for activities associated with UTHealth programs, projects, and/or volunteers specializing in the following areas:  annual giving, alumni engagement, volunteer relations, foundation relations, corporate engagement, grateful patient engagement, school programs and organizations, gift planning, major gifts, and events. Your main tasks will be administrative in nature, such as making sure calendars are correct and updated, auditing and collecting any approval forms needed, and ensuring that a team of event planners have what they need to complete a project.

This position will be classified as non-exempt, and from time to time, it may require attending events outside of work hours. These may occasionally occur on weekends. Applicants should have a flexible schedule and plan to accommodate these needs as they come up. You will need to have at least two years of experience working in or around philanthropy, in-person customer service, and at events. If you are interested in eventually moving into event planning, this role will serve as a great introduction. Still, it is not a role that will work exclusively in that capacity. It is more about the behind-the-scene administration and supporting a team that executes fundraising events.
