We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team, focused on ensuring the smooth operation of our development, testing, and production environments.
This role involves exploring, recommending, testing, and implementing new technologies and approaches to enhance security, performance, and productivity.Required Skills & Experience:Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a Devops rolesMinimum 2 additional years as software engineerDeep understanding of AWS architecture and featuresExperience supporting applications deployed on Ubuntu. (accessing and interpreting logfiles, knowledge of tools to examine and manage processes, knowledge of tools forexamining system resources)Experience debugging network issues to help isolate the root cause of communication problemsExperience managing applications in AWS using services: EC2, Kinesis, RDS, IAM, SecretsConfigure AWS access control for users and system componentsExperience with ssh, and configuring/managing secure access to cloud instancesProfessional experience in a Linux system programming development roleProfessional experience with scripting languages including shell, PHP, and calling APIsExperience with Linux system administration, network administration, and security practicesDemonstrated ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills including documenting data flowAbility to interact professionally with a diverse group: clients, executives, managers, and coworkersDesired Skills & Experience:Experience with PostgreSQLExperience with GitHub, JiraBachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related fieldPrimary responsibilities:Creating appropriate roles and permissions for all users and resourcesCreating infrastructure automation templates for all our cloud componentsWriting scripts for AWS infrastructure toolsWriting bash scripts used in our deployment configuration toolsEnsuring appropriate Alarms are established, and  monitoring overall operations of the deploymentResponding to alarms as requiredPerformance measurements and Capacity planningDisaster Recovery Planning and ImplementationEnsure best practice security policies are implementedMaintain infrastructure documentation
