What will you do?  As Caterpillar develops a new generation of Battery Electric Machines and related charging infrastructure, our Digital applications will need to change to accommodate new user needs. The Electrification Applications Senior Product Owner will be responsible for defining the application requirements for both existing and new software applications. These will be a mix of internal applications for condition monitoring and supply chain management, as well as customer facing applications for fleet and site management. This role will work alongside other product teams, UX, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver capabilities to support our Electrification and Energy Solutions partners. This role may also support pilot efforts prior to application development. You will as well: + Define product roadmap according to business and strategic value + Manage product backlog by creating, managing, and prioritizing user stories and features + Understanding application user’s needs and define successful product features + Translate overall business strategy to strategic development efforts for development + Partner with UX teams to ensure interface design meets customer needs and fits within existing product design frameworks + Support Figma development, translating requirements into concept designs and provide documentation on screen functionality, naming conventions and definitions of values + Working closely with cross-functional engineering, and product management teams to develop impactful business values to targeted audience This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US. What you have:  + Feature Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write detailed product requirements for data structures to support new application or analytic features/functionality. + Application Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new software application from concept through to production. + Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to accurately analyze situations, propose alternatives, and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment and input from various stakeholders. + Effective Communications: Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, requirements, and processes in a manner appropriate for the intended audience + Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize features, enhancements, and integrations based on customer feedback, market research, and industry trends. Work closely with engineering, design, and business development teams to translate product requirements into detailed user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria. + Software Product Management: Knowledge of software product management; ability to operate and manage software product development projects at all stages of the product development lifecycle.
