Senior Director, Annual Giving Marketing Operations - Office of Advancement

Requirements

The Senior Director, Annual Giving Marketing Operations leads Georgetown’s annual giving marketing enterprise focusing on building a culture of philanthropy and generating ongoing and long-term support for Georgetown. More specifically, he/she will ensure continued growth in dollars and donors by leveraging innovation and best practices in marketing, data analysis, testing, benchmarking, project management systems, messaging, and stakeholder engagement.

The Senior Director oversees the Marketing Operations team, which serves as the central point of service delivery and operations for all direct response marketing for Annual Giving for the entire university, including direct mail, email, digital/online, and phonathon. The Senior Director will serve as the strategic project lead  , and will provide budget and contract oversight/management. He/she will partner with teams and leadership across various units and departments to drive overall giving, donor acquisition, donor retention, and stewardship to foster a culture of philanthropy and generate ongoing and long-term support for Georgetown.

In addition to marketing operations leadership, the Senior Director acts as a thought partner with Annual Giving, Advancement, and university leadership to develop and lead strategies for leadership annual giving (at the $5K-$25K level) to build and maintain a strong major gifts pipeline, robust stewardship and loyal donor programs, and innovative, ad hoc, and/or ongoing special projects that drive increased giving. 

Finally, the Senior Director works with Advancement colleagues and university leadership to build and integrate marketing plans, assess direct marketing results, and provide recommendations for future projects.

Work Interactions

This position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Annual Giving. 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required

7-10 years of professional experience in marketing, annual giving, and/or fundraising, preferably in a higher education or non-profit environment

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$66,783.00 - $126,720.23

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
