Senior Director, Cell Health and Centrifuge Portfolio

The Senior Director Cell Health & Centrifuge Portfolio is a key operating member of Beckman Coulter Life Sciences’ Biotech Workflow Solutions (BWS) Business Unit leadership team. In this role, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage all aspects of this portfolio’s products and services to create sustainable competitive advantage. You will drive results through exceptional leadership skills, consistently championing and supporting a culture of continuous improvement, with an eye on reaching optimum performance on an individual and team basis. You will be responsible for driving the portfolio’s growth, profitability, and market presence. This includes strategic planning, team leadership, product development and innovation, sales collaboration, and industry representation. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the portfolio’s success and growing the company's position as a leader in centrifuge and cell health. Key Responsibilities: + Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the growth, profitability, and market presence of the centrifuge and cell health division. This includes conducting market research, identifying new opportunities, and setting goals and objectives that are aligned with BEC LS strategic plan. + Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of professionals, including product managers, R&D scientists, application scientist. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment and promote professional development and growth within the team. + Product Development and Innovation: Drive the development of new centrifuge and cell health consumables solutions by identifying market needs, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with R&D teams. Ensure that products meet quality standards and are aligned with customer requirements. + Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute effective strategies to promote and sell centrifuge and cell health products. This includes identifying target markets, establishing partnerships, and monitoring market trends and competition. + Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, taking focused action, and establishing feedback loop for the innovation. Seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. + Financial Management: Develop and manage dept budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-effective measures. Identify opportunities for revenue growth and profitability improvement. Requirements: + Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as biology, bioengineering, biotechnology, or a related discipline is typically required. Advanced degrees, such as an MBA, can also be advantageous. + Managerial experience leading global teams domestically and internationally. + Familiarity with relevant regulations, certifications, and quality control standards in the life sciences industry is important. This includes knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and other applicable regulations. + Familiarity with centrifuge and cell health equipment, protocols, and methodologies is important. Understanding the technical aspects of centrifugation, cell culture, and related processes is necessary for effective management and decision-making At Beckman Coulter Life Sciences we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce. The salary range for this role is $190,000 - $250,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
