Senior Director, Communications


Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, with a dotted line to the Chief Human Resources Officer for internal communications, this leader will collaborate closely with the Chief Executive Officer to shape and execute strategic, internal, and external communications initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of expertise in crafting and delivering impactful communication strategies that align with business objectives. This role calls for a visionary leader who can elevate the company’s communications efforts and foster alignment across senior leadership to drive meaningful engagement both within and outside the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Leads the development and execution of a global corporate communications strategy, supporting both internal and external stakeholdersCollaborates with the SVP and the CEO on high-profile communications, including strategic messaging, industry visibility, and thought leadership campaignsPartners with the CHRO to ensure cohesive internal communications that foster alignment, engagement, and cultural continuity across global teamsServes as the company’s spokesperson, representing the company in media engagements, industry events, and other public forums Manages executive communications, including speeches, presentations, and media interactions, ensuring alignment with strategic prioritiesOversees crisis communications and brand reputation management effortsBuilds and nurtures relationships with key media, analysts, and external stakeholders to position the company as an industry leaderActs as a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing strategic counsel on messaging for transformative business initiativesCoordinates with the investor relations function, partnering with the CFO and the VP of Investor Relations, to ensure that the company's direction and vision are communicated and understood by its shareholders, the financial community, and other relevant external stakeholdersSupports communications for acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate development activities to ensure clarity and impactOversees the company’s social media strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging while leveraging digital platforms to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and thought leadershipManages the company website, ensuring content is regularly updated to reflect strategic initiatives, corporate milestones, and industry leadershipCollaborates with business leaders and functional teams to align messaging with strategic goals and market trendsEnsures seamless collaboration across functions, including strategy, corporate development, investor relations, and human resources, to execute integrated communication initiatives

Job Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field6+ years of progressive experience in corporate communicationsProven expertise in leading crisis communications and organizational change managementProven track record of managing high-level strategic and external communicationsExceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skillsDemonstrated success in partnering with senior leadership to drive strategic communicationsMedTech industry experience is a bonus but not required

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
