Job Description

Senior Director, Core Infrastructure

 

Exciting Opportunity at MSK:
MSK is seeking a Senior Director, Core Infrastructure to lead enterprise infrastructure strategy, architecture, infrastructure engineering and operations across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. This leadership role focuses on ensuring infrastructure stability, security, scalability, and alignment with business goals through automation, operational excellence, and innovation.

 

The Senior Director will define and execute a long-term roadmap for networking, hosting, cloud integration, and enterprise services, overseeing one of the largest budgets within Enterprise Technology Services (ETS). This individual will lead critical initiatives such as network redesign, omni-cloud implementation, and next-generation security frameworks, driving the performance and resilience of MSK’s technology ecosystem.

 

Position Overview:

Strategic Infrastructure Leadership:
Develop and implement infrastructure strategies that support business growth, incorporating automation, scalability, and hybrid cloud technologies.Infrastructure Operations:
Oversee compute, storage, virtualization, and hosting services. Drive automation initiatives with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.Network & Security Management:
Manage enterprise network services (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, MPLS) and ensure security through zero-trust frameworks, firewall management, and network segmentation.Cloud & Hybrid Integration:
Lead the integration of on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring efficient API-driven automation, networking, and workload optimization.Enterprise Observability & Monitoring:
Implement real-time infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog) to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize performance.Disaster Recovery & High Availability:
Design and maintain disaster recovery strategies, redundancy plans, and failover exercises to ensure business continuity.Financial & Vendor Strategy:
Manage infrastructure budgets, vendor partnerships, and investment prioritization, driving financial discipline and strategic alignment.

Key Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, hybrid cloud environments, network operations, and automation.Proven leadership in managing large, complex infrastructure programs and technology teams.Strong financial management skills, with experience overseeing large budgets and vendor relationships.Experience implementing security frameworks (e.g., zero-trust), compliance standards, and operational excellence initiatives.

Ability to define and execute a long-term roadmap for infrastructure, aligning technology initiatives with business goals.Forward-thinking mindset to adopt emerging technologies and innovations.Ability to mentor and guide senior managers and technical staff, fostering a culture of operational excellence and innovation.Strategic resource allocation to optimize infrastructure investments and prioritize high-impact initiatives.Ability to collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to align technology strategy with organizational objectives.Ability to assess complex infrastructure challenges and make data-driven decisions.Experience resolving high-impact issues related to network performance, system reliability, and business continuity

Salary Range: $214,900 - $365,500
