Senior Director, Data Analytics Practice Lead

We are looking for a Senior Director, Data Analytics Practice Lead who will lead our data analytics team focused on serving our clients in the public sector including but not limited to Defense, Homeland Security, Federal financial, Agriculture, and State and Local markets.  You will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team of 50+ professionals including data analysts, data architects, data/ETL engineers, GIS experts, data visualization experts, data scientists and AI/ML experts. You will be responsible for defining the total solution (people, process, and tools) that meets the customer's needs and aligns with our capabilities in data analytics. You will work closely with business leaders, program executives, capture leaders, proposal managers, technical writers, and subject matter experts to create compelling and compliant solutions. You will primarily focus on supporting new BD/growth opportunities while also providing project delivery support as needed.

This role will be based in the Washington DC area as a hybrid position assigned to ICF’s Reston, VA headquarters office.  Remote candidates with strong qualifications and experience will be considered. Travel to the DMV area up to six times a year may be required.  

    

What You’ll Be Responsible For:  

Developing and leading end-to-end solutions for complex RFP requirements addressing the technical and staffing aspects of the proposal, focusing on the total solution.  

Lead the development of solution artifacts, such as white papers, Concept of Operations Graphics (CONOPS), architecture diagrams, technical volumes, and staffing plans.  

Collaborate with the capture manager, proposal manager, and other stakeholders to ensure the solution aligns with the win strategy, themes, and discriminators.  

Develop and present solutions to senior leadership at ICF and customers, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with customer needs.  

Author, review and provide feedback on proposal content, ensuring it is clear, concise, and compliant with the solicitation.  

Manage a team of data analysts, data architects, data/ETL engineers, GIS experts, data visualization experts, data scientists and AI/ML experts.

Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the federal market and the data analytics domain.  

Cultivate the robust ICF community of practice, ensure our practitioners stay certified and have career pathways to support their professional careers.  

Conduct quarterly technical reviews of engagements/projects to ensure alignment with the defined solution, identify areas for improvement, and innovation.   

What You Must Have:  

15+ years of experience in technical leadership roles on large data analytics projects

10+ years of experience in delivering analytics services for federal contracts  

5+ years of experience leading the solutioning efforts for complex and large scale federal proposals, with a $25M floor, and contributing to winning proposals.  

5+ years of experience leading/managing a team of 30+ people

Bachelor's degree in computer science or other IT or Engineering-related fields.  

Strong knowledge of the capture, proposal development lifecycle, and evaluation criteria, with a focus on creating compelling and compliant solutions.  

Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US 

What We’d Like You to Have:  

One or more certifications in Cloud Architecture (AWS, Azure, Google) are strongly preferred. Additional certifications are also highly desirable.  

Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.  

Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$170,721.00 - $290,225.00
