Senior Director, eCommerce Design - UI/UX

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Director of UI/UX to lead our user experience and interface design efforts with a strong focus on digital shopping and e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing intuitive, customer-centric experiences that drive engagement, conversion, and satisfaction in the online shopping space. You will lead a team of designers and UX strategists to create world-class shopping experiences across web and mobile platforms. 


WHAT OUR SENIOR DIRECTOR eCOMMERCE DESIGN UI/UX ENJOY MOST

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Develop and execute a comprehensive UI/UX vision that aligns with our business goals, emphasizing user-centric design for digital shopping and e-commerce platforms. Advocate for a customer-first approach, using research and data to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations. Drive the creation of user personas, customer journeys, and use cases. Work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and data teams to ensure seamless integration of UI/UX principles into the development and optimization of our e-commerce platforms. Continuously refine and enhance the user journey, from product discovery to checkout, ensuring frictionless and delightful experiences that improve conversion rates, customer retention, and satisfaction. Mentor and lead a high-performing team of designers and UX strategists. Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration within the UI/UX department. Stay current with emerging UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies in the digital shopping and e-commerce space, applying them to improve our platforms and keep us competitive. Utilize analytics, A/B testing, and customer feedback to inform design decisions and measure the effectiveness of UI/UX improvements. Develop and maintain design systems that promote consistency across all digital shopping touchpoints, ensuring brand integrity and scalable design processes. Present design concepts, research findings, and performance data to executive leadership and key stakeholders, advocating for design-driven solutions that meet business goals. 


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Experience:UX/UI or Product Design management experience - 10+ yrsEducation:Bachelor's Degree in Design/HCI/related field or equivalent real-world experience  Technical Skills:Expert ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage product design work Expert ability to design high-fidelity prototypes Advanced business acumen and sense of urgency to achieve business results Advanced presentation and communication skills, and the ability to “sell” ideas to various audiences, technical and non-technical Skills:Exceptional cognitive and communications skills Deep understanding of development processes Exceptional analytical skills Extensive experience with research-driven, iterative product design   Abilities:Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to demonstrate UI/UX design management skills via resume and portfolio Ability to prioritize and organize effectively  Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure Ability to supervise and motivate others Ability to develop, communicate and implement strategies and tactics Ability to manage and deliver against several initiatives simultaneously Ability to manage and train cross-functional teams Ability to analyze and interpret data and synthesize recommendations Ability to think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs and expectations  Schedule:Full time This position is eligible for our Hybrid Work Policy. Eligible employees can work from home up to one day each week. 
Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree Related industry experience - Cable, Telecommunications, Software/Online Services
