Job Description Summary:

As the Sr. Director of Employee Success, you will report directly to the VP of Talent and Belonging and play a critical role on the Talent + Belonging Leadership Team. The Head of Employee Success is responsible for creating and implementing strategies that enhance the overall employee experience, focusing on onboarding, performance management, and internal mobility. This leadership role aims to foster a culture of engagement, continuous growth, and opportunity, ensuring that employees feel supported and empowered to thrive within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Onboarding:

Design and oversee a comprehensive onboarding program that facilitates a smooth transition for new hires, enabling them to integrate into the company culture and become productive quickly.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all necessary training and resources are provided to new employees.

Continuously evaluate the onboarding process, gathering feedback to enhance the experience and improve retention rates.

Performance Management:

Develop and implement a performance management framework that promotes continuous feedback, goal setting, and employee development.

Train managers and employees on best practices for conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.

Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Internal Mobility and Talent Marketplace:

Create and maintain a dynamic internal talent marketplace that facilitates employee movement and career development within the organization.

Develop programs and resources that encourage employees to explore new roles, projects, and learning opportunities within the company.

Collaborate with department leaders to identify talent needs and promote internal candidates for open positions.

Employee Engagement and Retention:

Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, ensuring that employees feel valued and supported throughout their careers.

Utilize information from the regular employee surveys and other sources e.g.,  focus groups to gather feedback on employee experience and implement necessary changes.

Collaboration and Communication:

Partner with HR leaders and business unit heads to align employee success initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.

Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to promote employee success programs and gather insights for continuous improvement.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of onboarding, performance management, and internal mobility initiatives.

Provide regular reports to senior leadership on employee success metrics and recommend strategies for improvement.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

Ensure that employee success initiatives promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating opportunities for all employees to thrive.

Advocate for underrepresented groups in talent development and mobility programs.

About You: 

You are a strategic and data-driven leader with a passion for employee success. You excel at building high-performing teams and achieving measurable outcomes.  

Skilled at driving business outcomes through targeted organizational interventions; comfortable influencing leaders on applying employee success habits and tactics. 

 

Qualifications: 

10+ years of applicable experience in HR, with a focus on employee experience, performance management, and talent development; at least 3 years in a leadership role. 

Strong understanding of onboarding best practices, performance management methodologies, and internal mobility strategies. 

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. 

Proven ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and program enhancements. 

Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. 

Passion for employee development and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$143400 to $285450

For the majority of employees, PayPal's balanced hybrid work model offers 3 days in the office for effective in-person collaboration and 2 days at your choice of either the PayPal office or your home workspace, ensuring that you equally have the benefits and conveniences of both locations.
