Reporting directly to the CFO, you will hold the most senior financial position within the Applied Solutions Platform (+$300M) and will direct the financial functions observing GAAP. The Senior Director, Finance will be an important partner, playing an integral role in providing both tactical and strategic leadership for activities concerning reporting, planning, forecasting and strategic analysis. You will work with leaders across the organization by managing the financial processes / tools, month-end activities, internal reporting, ad-hoc analysis, as well as managing the finance team.
You Will:
Oversee all financial functions including, general accounting, internal reporting and controls, and financial planning and analysis.
Guide monthly forecasting process, Annual Operating Plan & Strategic Long-Tern Plan for Watts Applied Solutions including target analysis, development of guidelines for the business & providing financial tools.
Communicate, collaborate, and present financial insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
Responsible for financial reporting to management team, parent company and Board of Directors.
Monitor compliance with internal controls and systems within the SOX program, develop new processes and controls to support external financial reporting, and manage relations with both internal / external audit.
Partner with functional leaders and senior management to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency, portfolio diversification and expansion, and new product development.
Support broader integration activities, including adoption and implementation of world-wide accounting policies and procedure, mergers and acquisitions and transformational initiatives.
Prepare and present financial topics / initiatives to senior leaders, using executive-level framing to shape key messages.
Manage team of finance / accounting professionals, providing both performance management, coaching and mentorship in addition to identifying development opportunities within the team.
Other ad-hoc analyses and special projects, as needed, including strategic finance analytics, scenario analysis, financial modeling, savings tracking, etc.
You Have:
BS / BA in Accounting / Finance or related degree with equivalent experience. CPA / MBA.
12+ years of experience in a senior level financial position with 5+ years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated knowledge of the financial close process, internal controls over financial reporting (SOX), accounting policies and GAAP.
Experience with financial statements with an ability to analyze, interpret & communicate.
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
Experience with lean manufacturing or Six-Sigma certification.
Operational finance experience
Prior experience managing a team of direct and indirect reports.
